About Requiem Dream Online and FAQs
What is Requiem Dream Online?
Requiem Dream Online is a game that takes place in the SAO, or Sword Art Online, universe. However, the game's mechanics and how it works is VERY different than SAO. Think of a game that's combined with Watch Dogs, Saint's Row, and Grand Theft Auto, and you get Requiem Dream Online. Your character can choose to commit crimes within game by selling or doing drugs in game, stealing things, and the like, or your character can take part in the law and police force and go after the players that commit crimes. What your character wants to do is entirely up to them/you.
But there are consequences to your character's choices if (s)he chooses to become a criminal in the game.
If there is another character working in the law and police force of the game, your character can get caught at some point (unless your character is incredibly good at hiding their tracks or something).
If your character decides to get high on drugs in the game, it can cause health problems in the real world.
If your character decides to go for the sex and prostitution industry in the game, your character could most likely become a sex addict in the real world if (s)he does not know what (s)he is doing, and is not careful.
But there are not just consequences to becoming a criminal in the game; there are also consequences to becoming a part of the law and police force in the game, too.
If your character is on a mission to catch a criminal, your character can be in danger depending on how the criminal behaves and acts. If your character gets wounded in game, (s)he can get wounded in real life too, unless the wound is cared for in either world. If your character gets killed in game, (s)he can get killed in real life, as well. However, your character can log in and out whenever (s)he needs and/or wants to.
What can my character do in Requiem Dream Online?
There are many careers in-game that your character can go for. Here are the following examples:
Law enforcement/police force- Counselling
- Computer data and hacking
There are many other careers that will have yet to be listed, as well as which ones that require training in-game and which ones do not. Please look out for a thread that will have the list provided!
If your character also wishes to, (s)he can become a criminal in-game, and if so desired, can join or create a gang, as well.
Are there rules in the jobs that are listed?
Yes, and those will be coming up when the job list is posted, as well.
Will there be a feature in which my character will not die in the real world if they die in-game?
This will be added once the roleplay reaches a point where a certain part of the game is cleared. We don't know what that exact part of the game will be, but it will be revealed when the time comes.
Any other questions that are asked more than three times will be answered and added here in this post.
